Fibrae

Terms of Service

Last updated 31 August 2026

The short version

  • Fibrae is free for 14 days, then $5.99 a month — through Stripe on the web, or Google Play in the Android app. You can cancel at any time.
  • You sign in with Google once, so a subscription can be recognised on your other devices. Nothing else is done with it. Without it, the trial and subscription only work on that single device.
  • If you stop paying, Fibrae writes every canvas out to a folder you keep. We never hold your work back.
  • Everything you make in it is yours. We claim nothing and hold no copy.
  • Your work lives on your device, so keep your own backups — clearing your browser data will delete it and we cannot get it back.
  • It is provided as-is by Shetty Enterprises LLC, with no warranty and no uptime promise.
  • Drafts written with a model are a starting point, not a finished or verified document. Check them.

1. Agreement

By using Fibrae — the app at usefibrae.vercel.app or this website — you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please don’t use it. Fibrae is made and operated by Shetty Enterprises LLC, referred to below as “we” or “us”.

2. What Fibrae is

Fibrae is a canvas that runs in your web browser. You add cards, connect them, and it can suggest connections, point out which groups of cards have enough in them to be worth finishing, and produce a first draft from a group you select.

Fibrae requires you to sign in with Google once, before the free trial begins, so that a subscription can be recognised on a device that has never held it. We never issue you a password and we store no profile. Without this sign-in, the 14-day trial and any subscription you purchase only work on that single device. The Android app does not use it at all, because Google Play already ties the subscription to the account on the device.

2a. What it costs

Fibrae is free to use for 14 days from the first time you open it. No card is asked for to start, and nothing happens automatically when the fortnight ends — there is no charge you have to remember to cancel.

After that, continuing to use the app costs $5.99 per month. Who takes the payment depends on where you are using Fibrae:

The two are separate subscriptions. Buying on the web does not unlock the Android app and vice versa: Google requires anything sold inside a Play-distributed app to go through Play, and the two billing systems cannot see each other. Within each of them, one purchase covers your devices — on Android because Play attaches the subscription to your Google account, and on the web because the Google sign-in lets Fibrae find it again.

In both cases cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves the current period running to its end. Neither refunds the month already paid for.

When your trial or subscription ends, your work is not held back. Fibrae writes every canvas out as one plain .json file — into Documents/Fibrae on a phone, or beside your canvases in your vault folder — and the screen it shows you carries a download button that works whether or not you pay. If you subscribe later, it offers to open that file back up, and asks first.

Prices are in US dollars and may change; if a price changes we will say so on the site before it applies to an existing subscription.

On a phone it can be installed to your home screen and registers itself in the share sheet, so sharing a link sends it to your most recent canvas. Installing changes nothing about how or where your work is stored — it is the same app in the same browser engine. Sharing a link does put it in the hosting request log, which the Privacy Policy explains in full.

3. Your content is yours

You keep every right you already had in everything you put into Fibrae and everything you make with it. We claim no ownership, no licence, and no right to use it — and since it stays on your device, we have no copy to claim rights over.

This includes drafts. A draft produced from your cluster is yours to publish, sell, edit or throw away, subject to any rights that belong to the sources you put on the canvas in the first place.

4. Your work lives on your device — back it up

By default, Fibrae saves into your browser’s own storage. That has a real consequence you should understand before you rely on it:

Use Settings → Backup → Export all regularly, or connect a folder so each canvas is a plain file you control. Loss of data is your responsibility, and the app is built to make protecting yourself against it straightforward.

5. Acceptable use

Please don’t use Fibrae to:

We may rate-limit, restrict or withdraw access to the hosted endpoints if they are being abused. The app itself keeps working without them: you can still capture, connect, search and write outlines entirely offline.

6. Drafts written with a model

When you ask for a draft, the cards in the cluster you selected are sent to whichever language model you configured — one on your own machine, or Anthropic using your own key (see the Privacy Policy for exactly what and where). You should treat the result as a rough first pass:

If you would rather no model was involved, choose Outline only in Settings. That path is fully supported and always will be.

7. Third-party services

Fibrae relies on services it does not control: Vercel for hosting, Google Fonts for typefaces, Anthropic for draft generation, and YouTube, Vimeo or Loom for any video you embed. Their terms and policies apply to their parts, and their availability is not something we can promise.

8. Availability

There is no uptime commitment. Fibrae may change, break, or stop being hosted at any time, with or without notice. Because your canvases are on your device and in an open JSON format, that would not take your work with it — which is a deliberate design decision, and the main reason to keep an export.

9. No warranty

Fibrae is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any result it produces will be accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, profit, goodwill or opportunity, arising out of your use of Fibrae — whether or not we were told such damage was possible.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusions above, in which case they apply only as far as that jurisdiction permits.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The date at the top of this page will change when they are, and continuing to use Fibrae after that means the new version applies. Material changes will be noted on this page rather than made quietly.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Middlesex County, New Jersey. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
